A Blurb for the Met’s “Abueva: The Power of Form” Exhibit




To cater to the Filipino’s responsiveness towards tangible art, the Metropolitan Museum of Manila brings you an exhibition by the country’s national artist for sculpture, Napoleon Abueva entiled “Abueva: The Power of Form.”
            This exhibit features a range of sculptures with diverse concepts, forms and techniques representing significant stages of the artist’s life. The Met showcases over 100 sculptures from various collections from the 1950s up to 2009. The exhibition space at the Tall Galleries concludes on January 30, 2014 but remaining pieces will be displayed at the museum’s Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas Gallery until February 28, 2014.
            Visit the Metropolitan Museum of Manila to experience these momentous sculptures through your own hands!
