HONG KONG HALLOWEEN TREATS 2012!

      Get ready up for some heart-pounding fun and spooky encounters as the Hong Kong Tourism Board (HKTB) brings you the Hong Kong Halloween Treats 2012. This annual Halloween festival happening from 21 September to 31 October promises visitors a spook-tacular experience in Hong Kong, Asia’s world city.

     Presented by HKTB and supported by Ayala Malls and Cebu Pacific, Filipino visitors gets a sneak preview of what’s in store for them this Halloween in Hong Kong with the launch of the biggest 3D Halloween painting in the Philippines at the Glorietta 5 Atrium! The 3D painting will be on display from 3-13 October 2012 (except 6 October) where consumers can partake in exciting activities and win Halloween giveaways* from limited edition Hong Kong Halloween Treats souvenirs to a 3D2N trip for 2 to Hong Kong, courtesy of HKTB, Cebu Pacific & Park Hotel Hong Kong.

     Heading the launch is HKTB Regional Director for Southeast Asia, Mr Simon Wong, who presented the 3D Halloween painting and gave guests a glimpse of what to expect at this year’s Hong Kong Halloween Treats.

     “This year, Hong Kong Halloween Treats presents yet another round of endless merriment to locals and tourists alike. Hong Kong’s best-loved attractions like Hong Kong Disneyland, Ocean Park Hong Kong and Madame Tussauds Hong Kong have lined up exciting programmes to thrill and amaze visitors, providing them with a one-of-a-kind experience that can only be found in the Asia’s World City,” Wong said.

    “Numerous street celebrations, masquerade balls, and costume parties are also held in various areas such as Lan Kwai Fong and Avenue of the Stars, among others. Restaurants and food outlets also offer tempting Halloween-themed treats that families and friends can enjoy,” he added.

Haunted Hot Spots
Disney’s Haunted Halloween (Thursday to Sunday, Oct. 4–28, Oct. 31)

    Catch the Vampires and the Were Tribes as they vie for the title of Controller of the Dark Forces. Take a stroll along Graves Academy, which offers the most frightening curriculum on earth. You can explore the mysteries of the Cursed Jungle and Revenge of the Headless Horseman in Adventureland to the Party Zone and Space Mountain’s Ghost Galaxy in Tomorrowland. Or get spooked on Main Street, U.S.A. featuring Clash of Evil for the ultimate showdown for supremacy.

SCREAM at Madame Tussauds Hong Kong (Sept. 21  to  Oct. 31)

Enter SCREAM at Madame Tussauds Hong Kong for a spine-chilling journey through a dark and abandoned asylum where visitors will be surrounded by a mix of live performers and wax monsters. Guests will be given spooky make-up or stickers with every purchase of a regular-priced admission ticket throughout the event period (2pm-4pm and 6pm-9pm).

Ocean Park’s Halloween Bash (Sept. 21 to Oct. 31)

     Glamorous ghosts and ghouls of Ocean Park Hong Kong will take centerstage in one of HK’s hottest Halloween parties. Join them and enter the terrors of hell in a state-of-the-art, haunted 5D world where you can hear and feel creepy sensations inside a place shrouded in darkness!

Happy Halloween @ Avenue of Stars (Oct. 26–28, Oct. 31)

    Scary restless spirits will haunt the Avenue of Stars in late October nights. Dress up in your scariest costumes and mingle with creatures of the same kind. But watch out for ghost riders from the Black Boxer Club who will visit Avenue of Stars with their freakish bikes. All sorts of spooky entertainment are sure to keep you entertained in this side of the city.

2012 Discovery Bay (DB) Double Scary Night (Oct. 31)

     Enjoy fabulous freaky family fun with DB’s Double Scary Night. Kids can enjoy the Fluorescent Ghost Party in DB’s North Plaza, the ’Spooktastic’ Bouncy Castle, and fun game booths. Try the pumpkin patch and costume photo-taking corner. There are also spine-tingling games in DB Plaza. Feast on delectable dishes at D’Deck, the waterfront alfresco dining hot spot.

Lan Kwai Fong Halloween Street Party (Oct. 31)

The undisputed party destination in town, Lan Kwai Fong is hosting plenty of gatherings worth getting dressed up for this Halloween. The area will be decorated for the occasion with a mixture of spooky elements including a Chinese ‘Terror Street’ with floating skeletons and ‘fiery’ ghosts that will illuminate the street. Whether it’s playful party thrills or haunted Halloween chills, there’s plenty going on in Lan Kwai Fong.
