Every great film starts with a simple concept drawn from an inspiration--from a great novel, the literary arts, or even lyrics. Converging with imagination, a storyline was developed, subsequently, adding research and experience, a good script can be honed. Furthermore, with the continuous advancement of technology and ardent creativeness of the people, written stories have now evolved into moving scenes where lines are translated into more engaging dialogue and visual action and emotion.
Malayang Singing- Kayumanggi Productions (MaSKay), with passion to create, burning love for Filipino arts and literature and seeking different outlets of expression, is bringing once more, Sulyap: Pagsilip sa Paggawa ng Pelikula, now on its third year. Sulyap is a project that aims to promote opportunities, support, encourage and inspire interested people who have undying love for the arts through writing and filmmaking, giving them an outlet to express and alternative venue to showcase, cultivate and hone their talents and skills to help nurture and develop Filipino culture and values.
Sulyap 3 is a free summer workshop designed to guide Filipino high school and college students, out of school youth, teachers, and aspiring filmmakers--both amateur and professional--on how to convey concepts and stories from writing a storyline and scripts into different basic areas, techniques, and styles of filmmaking.
Sulyap 3 will be held on the 12th, 13th and 26th of May 2012 in Quezon City. The workshop has limited (30) slots only.
