Integration Of Domestic Terminal Fee In The Airline Ticket!

I just attended the signing ceremony of Memorandum of Agreement between transport and airport officials and owners of local airlines, on for the integration of the domestic terminal fee in the airline ticket.
With DOTC Secretary Mar Roxas, agreeing and congratulating signatories of said MOA, he says it will be an added convenience for domestic passengers.

Present in this important event were, Department of Transport and Communication (DOTC) Secretary Mar Roxas, Manila Internaitonal Jose Angel Honrado,Manila Internaitonal Airport Authority (MIAA) and the airline signatories were, Inigo Zobel of Air Philippines Corp. Lance Gokongwei of Cebu Air Inc. Ramon Ang of Philippine Airlines Inc. Ramon Guico III of WCIC Aviation Co. and Alredo Yao of Zest Airways Inc.

The MOA formalizes the agreement reached between the MIAA and the domestic airline companies for the integration of the P200.00 terminal fee in the airline ticket, making it part of the total cost of airfare, come August this year. However, holder of tickets bought prior to this date, will still have to pay the P200.00 terminal fee.
The Integration will benefit millions of passengers, who travel via NAIA Terminals 2, 3 and 4. For the year 2011, total outbound domestic passengers that passed through these terminals hit 8.43 million as against 7.37M in 2010. For 2013, MIAA projects some 11.3M outbound passengers to pass through the three terminals.

  8. Here in America, we do not pay terminal fee and that is already included in our ticket :-) Sometimes it scares me that I am run out of money coz of the terminal fee though my ticket is round trip :-)

  12. hi tin!
definitely this arrangement is expected to save time and add convenience to domestic passengers...
but my question is bakit hindi nila mapondohan ang kailangang pasilidad sa airport? bagong paggagatasan ba ito?

  25. Good! Is this just for domestic passengers? I hope they plan something like this for international passengers. I just arrived here in Abu Dhabi today from Manila. I really don't want to compare but I couln't help it. Our airport is way behind! Sa NAIA, I have to be in queues so many times! May pila sa OEC checking,sa travel tax for my dependents, then sa visa checking, then sa check in counters, then sa terminal fee, then sa immigration... wala pa yung mga pila sa security checks ha... na ok lang naman sana because that's for our safety kaso sobra talaga haba ng pila!
When I arrived here in Abu Dhabi, I NEVER have to fall in line... walang queue kasi andaming counters. Haaay I really wish our airports would improve kasi yun yung frontliner natin for tourists.
