MASKAY's 2ndHalo-Halo Indie Film Festival Call For Entries!

Halo- Halo Independent Film Festival (HHIFF) is now on its second year. An event aiming to provide opportunities, encouraging interested people who have undying passion for filmmaking and the arts. It serves as an outlet to express and a venue to showcase talents through films.

Halo-Halo 2 shares a different viewing pleasure from its pilot run last year where people comfortably watch films while dining with friends and families. Showcasing various short films in narrative, documentary, animation, music video, experimental and other genres produced by Filipino students and filmmakers both amateur and professionals, Halo-Halo 2 breaks the stiffening impression of a distant stage, where the films, the filmmakers and the audience get to easily engage and communicate with each other. And because we value the participation of our filmmakers and audience, we will be having for this year an “Audience Choice” award where the film viewers will pick their favorite film among the entries in the film festival.
The 2nd Halo- Halo Independent Film Festival (HHIFF 2012) is not a competition but an exhibition of different short film/ videos initiated by Malayang Sining- Kayumanggi Productions, Inc. (MaSKay), an organization that strives to support, encourage, inspire budding artists and provide alternative venue to showcase Filipino talents and skills in filmmaking and other performing arts.

MaSKay is now accepting short film entries in narrative, documentary, animation, music video, experimental, public service announcements (PSA), and other genres; Short digital films with a maximum length of 15 minutes. For more information please contact, RG Enoya at maskay_project@yahoo.com or 09326011455. The deadline will be on October 26, 2012.
